ReMoved 3: Love is Never Wasted takes us on the journey of a little boy torn between the love of two mothers. The recipient of multiple awards and international attention, the ReMoved films will absolutely change the way you think about foster care.
It was my great privilege to author the 3rd film in this life-transforming series. As a former foster youth writing this film, one might expect that Kevi’s story was inspired by my own story, but it was not. My inspiration for Kevi came from loving beyond myself—from loving my own foster child—from loving my son.
Though Kevi’s story does not represent my own (or even my son’s entirely), and it certainly will not encompass the reality of all our kids in foster care, I infused it with elements of our reality that I hope many youth in foster care will be able to connect to. Most importantly, behind the story of Kevi is a truth that we all, no matter where we came from, can connect to. The truth is that fantastically undeniable fact that love truly is never wasted.
